Levulan® Photodynamic Therapy
Levulan (aminolevulinic acid HCl) Photodynamic Therapy (PDT) is a powerful, patented, versatile technology platform. When delivered to target tissues, Levulan is taken up and converted by fast growing cells into protoporphyrin IX (PpIX), a potent photosensitizer, which is then activated by the BLU-U® Blue Light Photodynamic Therapy Illuminator.
